The Migrant Center at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi and STAND UP, IMMIGRANTS!, a campaign to empower undocumented immigrants, unite their voice with the voices of all people of goodwill, peace, and justice, in our dismay at the dismantling of the DACA program recently announced by the Trump Administration.

By ending DACA, the President threatens some 750,000 Dreamers with the possibility of deportation and a life in the shadows. By its decision to end DACA, the Trump Administration sows uncertainty and anxiety among law-abiding Dreamers, young people who have been able to live productive lives and who call this country home. Their hopes of pursuing opportunities to a brighter future have been dimmed if not entirely extinguished.

We call on all people of goodwill to stand in solidarity with these Dreamers, who are our brothers and sisters, to oppose anti-immigrant policies on both the state and federal levels. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other immigrant advocates to forge a united front against ignorance, prejudice, fear, and hatred.

We ask you to express your solidarity by writing to the Speak of the House, Paul Ryan, to the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch Mc- Connell, and to your Representatives and Senators to demand that they take action on the Dream Act now!

Join us at the Migrant Center at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi (migrantcenter@ to advocate for our sister and brother Dreamers and to help empower the undocumented through our STAND UP, IMMIGRANTS! campaign (
