Prayer to St. Joseph

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt, before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires.

Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly, power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.

A Father's Prayer For His Children

Almighty and eternal God, I humbly turn to you in prayer for our children so that you may bless them and give them your grace, Enlighten their minds that they may find joy in listening to your holy doctrine and in following the path of virtue. Protect their innocence and guard them from all temptations to sin. Help them to be obedient to your holy laws and to serve you faithfully all their lives. May they ever please you and one day b€ the joy and support of their parents.

I thank you, heavenly God, for the boundless goodness, wisdom, and power which you have shown to my family, May no happiness or suffering of this earth, no temptation or trial, ever separate us from your love or cast us into the horrible darkness of sin,

My God, be pleased to grant this grace to my children whom in baptism you have made your own, and who you have entrusted to me in order that I may rear them in love of you. Help me to maintain and strengthen them in that same love. Grant that they may ever look upon sanctifying grace and their divine adoption as the greatest good they possess. And may they walk so carefully, earnestly and courageously In the ways of your love, that they may never lose this grace but rather increase it through prayer and frequent holy communion, and at last die in possession of divine grace and of you. Amen,

Blessing Prayer for Father's Day

Blessed are You, Lord and Father of All Life,
    who has given to us
    the gift of the father of our family.
Today, we honor him,
    and we thank You for the numerous good things
    that are ours because of him,
His love for us
    has been a sign of Your divine affection
    and a sharing In Your holy love.
His continuous concern for our needs and welfare
   is a mirror of Your holy providence.
And so as we honor him,
   we praise You, Father of All Peoples,
Bless him this day.
   with Your strength and holy power
   that he may continue to be a sign of You, our God,
   and a priestly parent to our family.
May we who have the honor of bearing his family name
   do so with great pride.
May we, the members of his family,
   assist him in his holy duties as a parent
   with our respect,
   our obedience,
   and our deep affection.
Bless him, Lord,
   with happiness, and good health,
   with peace and good fortune
   so that he who has shared of his way of life
   may live forever with You
   his God and heavenly Father.
The blessing and all graces, we pray
   descend upon the father of our family:
   in the name of the Father,
   and of the son
   and of the Holy Spirit.
