That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray
Almighty and eternal God, You glorified Your faithful Confessor and Doctor, St. Anthony, with
the gift of working miracles. Graciously grant that what we seek with confidence through his merits,
we may surely receive through his prayers. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

For A Sick Person
O Dear St. Anthony, you who have always helped those who come to you with confidence, I pray fervently for a sick person who is dear to me. I beg you to obtain the gift of a cure, in order that he (she) may praise the wonders of God, or at least, that his (her) sufferings be lessened and that he (she) have the strength of Christian resignation and surrender to the holy will of God.You who during your earthly life had been the friend of the suffering and had spent yourself for them with charity and with the gift of miracles, remain near to us with your protection, console our hearts and grant that our physical and moral sufferings be the source of merit for eternal life. Amen.

For The Conversion Of A Person Dear To Us
O great Saint, you have dedicated your life and spent all your strength for the salvation of Christians and the return of unbelievers to God; and even now you are the instrument of divine mercy for the conversion of sinners: I beg you to intercede before the Lord for a person who is so dear to me, whose life is not conformable to the evangelic teachings and to the Baptism received. Grant, dear Saint, that he (she) may find again the lost faith, take up again the practice of religion and return to the joy of the friendship with God. Do not permit that he (she) be lost for all eternity but intercede that he (she) return to be a child of God and experience His mercy in this life and immense glory in heaven. Amen.

Prayer To St. Anthony For Peace Of Mind
Most dear and faithful servant of Christ, blessed St. Anthony to whom God has granted such favors that through your intercession lost temporal goods are recovered, pray for me, a sinner, that I may acquire and preserve peace of mind, with light and knowledge to discern good from evil and truth from error. So that being delivered from all evil scruples, darkness and uneasiness of mind and conscience, I may faithfully serve my God and Savior, who is worthy of all honor and glory, with peace of mind, purity of conscience, and justice of life. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer To St. Anthony For Healing
Dear St. Anthony, you loved God so much when you lived upon the earth. You were known, even then, as a great Wonder-worker, so great did His power live in you. Now that you are in Heaven, you share in God’s glory and in His power in a more perfect way. Look on me with kindness as I come to you in my need. I pray for healing for myself and for those whom I love. We need healing, not only in body but especially in spirit. We need a spirit of love and forgiveness; a spirit of repentance, a spirit of openness to God’s grace. The whole world needs healing from its many wounds of hatred and despair. Pray for us St. Anthony, and receive the petitions I bring to you today. May God be glorified by your life of holiness, by your surrender to the power of His love. Amen.

The Chaplet Of St. Anthony
In Padua, Italy, (where St. Anthony preached in the later years of his life and where he is buried)
as well as in other places, there arose in the 19th century the practice of reciting 13 Our Fathers, Hail
Marys and Glories in thanksgiving for favors granted after having prayed the Responsory to St. Anthony. (The number “13” is associated with St. Anthony, since he died on June 13, 1231.)
This is known as the Rosary or Chaplet of St. Anthony. It is composed of 13 groups of three
beads each. On the first bead of each three is said the Our Father, on the second, the Hail Mary,
and on the third, Glory be, etc. The following invocations may be used before each Our Father,
Hail Mary and Glory be.
1. O most glorious St. Anthony, deliver me from the terrible death of sin, and enable me to live always the precious life of grace. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
2. O great St. Anthony, banish vice and error far from me, and guide me in the way of true Christian faith. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
3. O dear St. Anthony, keep from me blindness of intellect and hardness of heart, the greatest calamities which can befall a soul. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
4. O good St. Anthony, drive far from me by the power of God the illusions of the devil which, with my evil desires, retard my complete conversion. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
5. O St. Anthony, raised up by God to cleanse every kind of leprosy, cleanse my soul from every stain of sin. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
6. O St. Anthony heavenly physician, heal me for to thee I disclose my wounds. Obtain for me true love of God; obtain for me health of body as well as of soul, that I may have time and courage to do penance. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
7. O St. Anthony, consoler of the afflicted, the sea of iniquity is so stormy and violent, that I find
myself plunged and buried beneath its waves. Delay not to help me, raise me speedily to the way of virtue. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
8. O St. Anthony, my great advocate, the devil, world and the flesh spread so many snares for me, that my feeble will find it often impossible to escape them, yet, your intercession will obtain for me, what I desire so much the help of Almighty God. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
9. O St. Anthony, healer of the sick, I am afflicted by evils which destroy my health both in soul and body. Obtain for me salvation, both temporal and eternal, by the most efficacious remedies of divine mercy. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
10. O Saint of Miracles, thy glory is everywhere a parent, especially in finding things which have
been lost. I am lamenting bitterly my loss of baptismal innocence. Make me find the precious grace of God, and all those blessings of the soul which, by my own fault, I have miserably lost. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
11. O St.Anthony, great worker of miracles, young and old all enjoy through thee the sweet influence
of Divine Goodness; whoever implores thy help is sure to obtain it. Extend, then, even to me, so miserable and unworthy, thy powerful aid. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
12. O St. Anthony, my daily helper, amidst so many dangers and conflicts I come to thee, as to my
defense and security. Make good my hopes and always prepare me, by heavenly and efficacious
grace, for every misfortune that awaits me. (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
13. O St. Anthony, everybody’s Saint, want and misery afflict me in the body, but much more
does sin press down upon my soul. By those numberless favors which by thy intercession, God is pleased to bestow on thee, obtain for me from the Giver of all Good, every grace that I
require, both for time and for eternity, especially to live and die in the Holy Catholic Faith.(Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.)
