A. Who made heaven and earth. Prayer To God By St. Anthony
L. O heavenly Father,
A. We beg you through our Lord Jesus Christ, whom you have
made the sacrifice that takes away our sins, to receive our
prayers and offerings: and, through him, to give us the grace to
be reconciled to you and to one another. Then, being at peace
with you and each other, we may be able to offer sacrifices of
praise with the holy angels before your altar in heaven above.
This we ask of you who are
blessed forever Amen.

Paduan Prayer
To St. Anthony
L. O holy St. Anthony
A. We come to invoke your help, confident of experiencing
your goodness and your power, the consolation of so many people
pray for us to the father of mercies. In our name, speak to him
that we may obtain the particular graces we need.
(Pause for Personal Petitions)
True follower of St. Francis, help us to imitate your life and
work for God and for our brothers and sisters in the Lord, put
into our hearts the flame of your love that we may love our
merciful father in heaven and our neighbors as ourselves. Pray
that we may fulfill the will of our heavenly father, and live
the way Jesus shows us in the gospels. Be a guide for us this
day that we may recognize the opportunities God gives us to be
selfless and not selfish. Assist us in keeping the promises we
made at
our baptism. Help us to obtain the grace to walk in the light of
faith, and to proclaim that faith by the way we live. Guide our
devotion so that we may live with you the gospel of Christ and
grow with you in his love. Amen.
L. St. Anthony, light of the Holy Church, lover of God’s Law and
Doctor of the Gospel.
A. Pray for us to the son of God.
L. Let us pray to the Father in the words Jesus taught us.
A. Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your
kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive
those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and
deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory
are yours now and for ever.
L. Let us pray.
A. We thank you father for giving us St. Anthony, who lived
the gospel so faithfully. Through his
intercession, may the good news of Christ impel us to build up
your kingdom, and to make the world a more fitting place for all
to live. With St. Anthony, we praise and bless you: Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.
L. The Lord be with you.
A. And also with you.
L. Bow your heads and ask for God’s blessing. May the Lord
bless you and keep you. May the Lord let his face shine upon you
and have mercy on you. May the Lord look upon you with kindness
and give you his peace. May the Lord bless you: the Father, and
the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
A. Amen |
