Vigil for Peace

Pope Leo XIV, in his Easter Address to the World, called for world peace and an end to conflicts during his first Easter Sunday address on April 5, 2026, delivered from St. Peter’s Square.

Pope Leo urged leaders to choose dialogue over war and announced he will lead a prayer vigil for peace at St. Peters Basilica on April 11, 2026.

“On this day of celebration, let us abandon every desire for conflict, domination, and power, and implore the Lord to grant his peace to a world ravaged by wars and marked by a hatred and indifference that make us feel powerless in the face of evil,” the Pope said.

On Saturday, please pray for peace, using the Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi.
